Divya Bharti, a popular actress from the early ’90s, died under mysterious circumstances on April 5, 1993. She fell from the balcony of her fifth-floor apartment in Versova, Mumbai. Her death was officially ruled an accident.

Despite the official ruling, many conspiracy theories emerged, suggesting suicide or murder. Eyewitnesses, including designer Neeta Lulla and her husband, were present in the apartment and described the event as an accident. Lulla told the police that Divya had been drinking and might have lost her balance.due to severe head injuries and internal bleeding. She was only 19 years old at the time.

Friends and colleagues, including Kamal Sadanah, also believe her death was accidental, attributing it to intoxication and a tragic slip. Divya’s father, Om Bharti, dismissed theories of foul play, asserting it was a tragic accident caused by her losing balance while on the ledge.
